Doherty to play Albert Hall show
Pete Doherty
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty is to play his biggest solo show yet, at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The former Libertines member will play a solo set at the venue - which has an official capacity of more than 5,500 - on 26 April.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 0900 GMT on Saturday.
Last November Doherty admitted to suffering a drug relapse, and pledged to seek further help in his attempts to tackle heroin addiction.
In December, fan Jamie Dell, 18, from Newcastle, sang onstage with the band at the launch of the NME Awards after Doherty was unable to take the stage.
As well as classical concerts, the Royal Albert Hall has played host to artists including The Who, Bob Dylan, Crowded House, Nick Cave and Morrissey.

Really stupid idea in my opinion, but then again Seasick Steve headlined there not too long ago which I also thought was absurd. _________________

Royal Albert Hall is what, 5,500? It's do-able. I think alot depends on whether the solo record is out by then.... here's hoping, innit.
I'd love to see Pete play a big venue, solo, as long as the crowd is suitably respectful. _________________

Any one know where to get the tickets from on Saturday???
I think this will be one hell of a gig.
I really wanted to go to the Hackney gigs last year, even if Carl hadn't shown up it still sounded really great.
Haven't seen Pete solo live before and would much rather look forward to that than another Shambles gig. _________________ If you take it all away there's a pile of everything you never wanted aint it just too bad, never wanted it so bad.

This is the key phrase behind my opinion.
