Sorry haven't a clue, I just know they can resume broken downloads. I've rarely had a download stop so never really bothered with them. |
I've just fucked up 3 of the downloads by attempting to use one.

How come downloading 10 songs from here takes so much longer than downloading an album from the download thread?

I think it's mainly because these are the only links and they're on all the forums so the massive amount of users is slowing it down.

I don't think it's a very good site, hence the slow speed/broken downloads that everyone is suffering from. However I think you may be underestimating the amount of people around the world trying to get this file. It's the biggest thing to happen to Libertines fans in 3 years and these are the only links. The amount of users on org.uk and .org has escalated beyond belief the last 3 days. I think powermonkey is still the only person who actually has the whole lot.
Oh and there are a lot of international users, especially America and Australia on org.uk and .org so yes, all the time.

The problem is that that site is shit. People have donloaded bits and bobs and found that some parts are corrupted and such. It'll get done soon, though, and there's a torrent version to come as well (which will go really nicely after a while).
