You think there is a real difference between 192 and 320 on a live performance, through either cheap speakers or headphones? |
Frankly I'd rather have a 320 version that's been produced well, instead of a half-arsed effort to suit ungrateful people who can't wait. We're not all playing it through cheap speakers or headphones.
He's split it up because (a) it can then fit onto cds since not everyone understands technology and is able to split it themselves and (b) if downloads get interrupted and you don't have a download manager, you're not losing so much.
I for one appreciate the effort from powermonkey.

Sorry haven't a clue, I just know they can resume broken downloads. I've rarely had a download stop so never really bothered with them. _________________ I heard it said, You had come back from the dead, Playing so fine, Even if you don't show up on time

a) There aren't many download sites that will allow you to upload one file bigger than 100mb, let alone one that allows upload of more than 300mb (plus it's taking this long to get 60-odd mg files, fancy leaving it run for 3 days for the whole thing?)
b) This is a sensible bitrate - for it to be archived somewhere like albionarks it needs the highest quality possible short of being wav files (or lossless flac) and then you'd be looking at 1.5 gigabytes.
It'll get quicker as more links go up.
