Wikipedia- Babyshambles
Wikipedia- The Libertines
Babyshambles' official site

Who is in Babyshambles and what do they do?
Pete Doherty- Rhythm guitar/Vocals
Mick Whitnall- Lead guitar
Adam Ficek- Drums
Drew McConnell- Bass guitar

Where was Pete born etc.?
Peter Doherty was born in Hexham, Northumberland, England on the 12th March 1979. He grew up at a number of army garrisons as a result of his father Peter's work as an officer in the British Army, living at various times at garrisons in Catterick, Belfast, Germany, Bedworth, Dorset and Larnaca.

How many children has Pete got?
Pete has two-year-old son Estile with Lisa Moorish - who also has a child fathered by Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher. Pete has also mentioned a second child in interviews, but this could in reality be Kate Moss' child who he just classes as his own. So in total Pete has one child, with a possible second.

Kate and Pete?
Moss was caught on camera allegedly snorting "line after line" of cocaine at a recording session with boyfriend Pete Doherty. The damaging revelations saw her ditched from lucrative contracts with fashion houses including Burberry and Chanel, and even best friend Stella McCartney's own clothing line for H&M. Rumours of her drug habits have circulated for years but she has always denied taking Class As such as cocaine. Many Moss fans blame Doherty for her fall.

What is the significance of Albion and Arcadia?
A frequent lyrical theme for Doherty is Albion, the ancient name for Great Britain. Doherty also uses 'Albion' as the name of a ship sailing to a utopia called Arcadia, a place without rules or authority. Doherty and Barât's shared flat in London, on Teesdale Street, Bethnal Green, was affectionately known as 'The Albion Rooms'.

Who is Gemma?
Gemma Clarke used to drum for Babyshambles, but left the band and was replaced by Adam Ficek.

Who is Wolfman?
Prior to the disbanding of The Libertines, Doherty collaborated with local poet Wolfman in early 2004. Together the pair recorded the single For Lovers, which entered the top 10 in April of the same year. Despite the success of the single, which was nominated for a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for songwriting, the pair received relatively little money, having already sold the publishing rights in a bar for a small amount.

Who is The General?
Pentonville was written by Doherty and The General, a friend he met whilst an inmate in Pentonville Prison. He is said to have looked out for Pete while he was in prison, and they are still in touch now.
The BABYSHAMBLES singer was put behind bars as he stood accused of assaulting and blackmailing film-maker MAX CARLISH, and he was terrified of what the other inmates would do to him. But Rastafarian The General struck up such a good rapport with Doherty, he kept him safe until the charges against him were dropped. Doherty says, "Prison is a horror story. I was in (London prison) Pentonville for two weeks. The inmates terrified me. "You know, I've never harmed anybody else except myself, but some of those guys... Luckily, The General took me under his wing. I don't think I can handle being banged up again."

Pete's prison diary?
Pete produced a diary when in prison at the end of January and the start of February '06. The section that was published in The Guardian can be found here.

Who is Max?
Max Carlish is a British documentary filmmaker and lecturer in media studies. Carlish won an Bafta and an Emmy for his work producing a documentary about the Royal Opera House. He is most famous, however, for his attempts to produce a so-called rockumentary about Pete Doherty, singer and guitarist with The Libertines and Babyshambles. Doherty was charged with assault and blackmail of the filmmaker after Carlish sold photographs of Doherty taking heroin to Sunday newspapers.
Carlish's footage was used in a programme entitled Stalking Pete Doherty broadcast on 17 May 2005, and then again on 11th March 2006 on Channel 4. The programme focused on Carlish's obsession with Doherty more so than it did with Doherty's life, and much of the footage showed how Doherty wanted nothing to do with Carlish or his film.
"I've never heard of a journalist slash documentary maker who would so demean himself in order to get his story as Max Carlish, who made himself the clown of the Babyshambles posse as if it was an honourable tactic. Max Carlish deserved a good punch on the nose." Neil McCormick, music journalist
"A friend of mine saw the footage of him taking heroin and thought I could sell them,” Carlish commented. “Before I knew it I was in the middle of a bidding war. I was desperate for money and by this point I had convinced myself I would never see Pete again, would never be able to complete my film." Carlish never finished his film. Stalking Pete Doherty was produced by North One Television, who, in the words of one critic, "recognised that it was Carlish's struggle and failure to make his film that was the real story". Doherty reportedly attempted to halt the broadcast by Channel 4, on the basis that the footage taken by Carlish was in fact owned by his management company
