Doherty praised at drug hearing
Mr Doherty was praised for his progress in giving up drugs
Rock star Pete Doherty is "more than co-operating" in his battle to beat drug addiction, a judge has said.
The Babyshambles singer was attending a review of a drug treatment order before District Judge Jane McIvor at Thames Magistrates' Court in east London.
"I'm quite keen to show a negative test as soon as possible," the 28-year-old told the court.
He was ordered to take part in a treatment programme after admitting drug possession charges in April 2006.
The musician was 30 minutes late for the hearing, but Judge McIvor told him: "There's no obligation for you to turn up to the reviews.
"The fact you've turned up shows co-operation - more than co-operation - and there is no risk of you breaching this order."
